Tablachaca: Highlights
Target: Gold - Placer and alluvial gravel
Opportunity: Medium scale industrial extraction of gold
Background
A placer gold deposit occurs in Tablachaca River along the entire property and extends beyond the limits of the concessions. Gold and associated heavy minerals like wolfram are currently recovered by panning and sluicing by people of the neighborhood.
Pallasca has been known for its gold production since the mid 1500’s when the Spaniards first entered the area in search of gold. It is highly likely that local people has been panning and sluicing from the Tablachaca River for at least that long.
Highlights
Phase one machine sampling of the property gravel deposits is underway. Based on these results, a medium scale industrial plant could be put in operation during Phase 3 that will treat dry or wet alluvial gravel to extract gold. The thickness of material alluvial has been surveyed by Georadar Method and shows two different layers, the upper consist of gravel poor cemented at 7 metres of thickness while the lower layer of 15 metres thickness is interpreted as consolidated gravel.
